Privacy Policy

Lock Screen Notes: Sticky — last updated 3 August 2026

Your notes never leave your device. This is not a slogan — it is how the app is built. The text you write is stored in a private container on your iPhone and is read directly by the Lock Screen card and the widgets. It is never uploaded, never transmitted in a notification payload, and never visible to us.

What we do collect

• An anonymous identifier. Created by Firebase Anonymous Authentication so the app can register your device for the Lock Screen refresh. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID.
• Push tokens. Needed to refresh the Lock Screen card before iOS expires it. Refresh messages carry no note content — only a signal to redraw.
• Subscription status. Handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We see whether a subscription is active, not your payment details.
• Anonymous usage and crash data. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics record which screens are opened and what crashed. No note content is included.

What we never collect

• The text, drawings or photos in your notes.
• Your name, email address, phone number or contacts.
• Your precise location.

Photos

If you add a background photo, it is copied into the app's own storage on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere.

Data retention and deletion

Deleting the app removes your notes and the local identifier. To have the device record on our server deleted, email us the User ID shown in Settings and we will remove it.

Children

Sticky is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above.
